06 December 2002 Kyoto, Japan - The interesting thing about Japan is that there really is a lack of ATMs that will accept foreign cash cards. After spending our last yen at the internet cafe and realizing that we had just enough for our bus fare to and from the guest house, we tried desperately to find somewhere that would take credit cards. McDonalds surely would. They did not. Mac Scorn indeed.
