14 September 2004 My desk at work now faces a window and has foliage draped over my monitor in an striking but abbreviated urban jungle. I had my own office for a while, while this space was under construction, but now I'm back in the open space. I had been placed in the room next door, but the lights were way too bright in there, so I moved myself into the darker, quieter room. The noise from the AC upstairs adds a bit of white noise and the people walking down the connecting stairs serves to keep the place from ever getting too quiet.
