friday, january 9, 1998, 02:48 So, thus marks the real one year anniversary of this site. And about time, i've got the scripts down and working pretty well for keeping this bad boy in line. Now I can focus on the rest of my life, and keep to writing, instead of tweaking perl. But, you know what? I think i like this perl thing. Or at least, I like it enough that I might even think of doing it as a job. Yeah, as in summer maybe? I don't know. I really need to find out what I'm going to do with myself. I hate not knowing. For the time being, at least, I have this gig with the local school district doing some scripting stuff for them, which will be good. It's actually a job, which will teach me responsibility, it's coding in the real world, which I like, and it's perl. Granted, it's on an NT box, so it's all ftp-ed in, but whatever. I've really let the thoughts go to pot out there. Maybe I'll try my hand at some more of that focused writing again, no? ... Even more relevant at the moment is the fact that tomorrow is going to be my last day at home. I'm going back up to school, which means that, among other things, I have to start packing up my stuff. It also means that classes are right around the corner. Going back up to school and spending day after day in a theatre can either be really fun or really scary. We'll see what this one turns into. book. have to finish reading my library book. ... movie tonight, casino. beth brough it over. really not worth the 3 hours for the movie which could have been spent talking. and when the movie was done, i was too tired to do much of that. *sigh*
